Omar Hasan is responsible for Quality of Drilling Products designed, manufactured and used at client sites by Schlumberger, the largest upstream O&G Services company in the world. Prior to his current assignment, Omar was in Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management. Before joining Schlumberger, he worked at General Electric for ten years at multiple business units including Wind Energy, Energy Services, Healthcare, Industrial Products and Global Research and Development. Omar has a robust understanding of the end-to-end value stream of both product and service based companies.
A graduate of both MIT and Imperial College, London, Omar is a firm believer in using talent development, technology and Lean methodology to create true differentiation in the market place. His job description is to work himself out of a job ... by developing world-class teams that know what needs to be done and how it needs to be done to a point where a manager becomes virtually superfluous.
