Kim Cummings, MHRDL, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Vice President of HR
National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Dallas– Fort Worth Chapter

Kim was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. After graduating from Seoul American High School, Kim moved to Texas to pursue a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Texas State University graduating from the University’s Emerging Leader program and was inducted into Who’s Who in College & Universities students. Kim received her Master’s with a dual emphasis in Human Resource Development and Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin and later received her Senior Professional designation in Human Resources and certified employee relations credentials. Kim is a professional member of the Fort Worth Human Resources Group and National Society of Human Resource Management.

Kim is currently Regional Director - Human Resources at BNSF Railway in Ft. Worth where she leads HR teams in Texas, Gulf, Chicago, Southwest, Kansas and California . Additionally, Kim is a Senior Board member and Vice President of HR for the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Dallas– Fort Worth Chapter, a non-profit organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, respecting Asian multiculturalism, and supporting diversity and community service. There are currently over 25 chapters, ventures, and affiliates across the United States and Canada and a growing North American membership of over 3,000.

Kim has spent over 18 years in leadership roles encouraging and promoting employee engagement in companies which include Belo (Broadcast Media), Burger King Corporation, Dell and Target Corporation. Kim has received numerous community service and leadership awards over the course of her career. Kim is a recipient of the “HR Professional of the Year” designation by Ogletree Deakins Law Firm and the Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
