Carlos A. Fernandez is a Senior Executive Recruiter with Houston Methodist, where he partners with various hospital leaders and executives for key recruitment projects, change management initiatives, and strategic workforce development.
Carlos has been with the organization for over 4 years and leads talent acquisition for a corporate client base of over 1,200 employees within Houston Methodist’s 7 hospital network. Mostly recently, he has overseen staffing for 2 System-wide software implementations including Epic and PeopleSoft.
A proud Houstonian, Carlos is a first generation U.S. citizen, whose family originates from Bolivia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston, graduated with his MBA Finance from the University of St. Thomas, and attained his PHR certification.
In addition role with Houston Methodist, Carlos has held multiple non-profit board positions including President of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and Treasurer of the Greater Houston Healthcare Alliance (GHHA), and has served on the planning committee for Houston Methodist's 5K benefiting Stroke and Heart Disease.
