Sheryl Skaggs is professor of sociology in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences (EPPS) at the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research primarily focuses on workplace diversity among racial/ethnic minorities and women, particularly within managerial and executive positions. Her research has been published in the American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, Annual Review of Sociology, Gender and Society, Social Problems, Social Science Research and several other journals. She received funding from the National Science Foundation for her joint research on women corporate board membership and executive representation. Dr. Skaggs is currently working on a project examining work-life balance of women and men in Fortune 500 companies.
