Kimberly Floyd, a native of Natchez, Mississippi, serves as Chief Operating Officer of Talafery Media Group. Inc. (TMG). Based in Houston, Texas, TMG is the parent company of d-mars.com Business Journal and Subcontractors USA-TEXAS Journal.
In her role as COO, Floyd directs daily operations for the company, while building strategic partnerships across various industries including construction, education and government. Floyd also executes several of the company’s signature events including the Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs Awards, the Top 25 Prime Contractors for Supplier Diversity and the Top 30 Influential Women of Houston Awards.
Floyd is also active in the community and devotes her time and talent to assisting various nonprofits with marketing and development. She also works with youth and speaks on the topics of social media and leadership.
Floyd has received numerous awards including Special Recognition Awards from both the City of Houston and the City of Dallas for her work advocating for nonprofits and small businesses.
A lover of travel, Floyd is also half of the dynamic duo of 2 Girls Who Travel (2GirlsWhoTravel.com). The team shares their love of travel, dining and entertainment as they traverse the globe, offering readers suggestions for their next travel experience.
Floyd received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Texas Woman’s University and earned a Masters of Business Administration specializing in Management from the University of Dallas.
