Allison Booker Brooks is a licensed social worker. She received an MBA Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University and Bachelors from Sam Houston State University. Booker Brooks is the Executive Director of YWCA of Houston where she manages the agency’s 3.2 million dollar budget which includes the following programs; the YWCA’s housing program for chronically homeless women ages 18-24, Meals on Wheels, 12 Senior Life Centers, Empowerment Zone Camp for girls. She has more than twenty years of experience working in nonprofit and social service organizations such as Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Texas Youth Commission, The Women’s Home and The United Way of Greater Houston. She is married to Mathews Brooks and is a native Houstonian. She leads an active life involving family, friends, travel and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
