Sherry James, PMP is a leadership and program management leader with extensive experience across a broad spectrum of industries, including retail, telecommunications, business intelligence/big data, software development, and healthcare. Since 2000, she has worked as an executive coach to C-level executives and as a consultant creating leadership curriculum for organizations large and small. Her passion for mentoring Millennials has taken her around the country in the last few years, speaking on topics that will bring together multiple generations to work harmoniously.
Sherry is the Manager, Program Management Office (PMO) for HollyFrontier Corporation headquartered in Dallas, Texas. HollyFrontier is a Fortune 500 independent petroleum refinery company with multiple locations across the mid-continent USA. Her team supports and manages a multi-million dollar portfolio of IT and Enterprise initiatives. As a member of Project Management Institute since 2009, Sherry has held various leadership roles for the Dallas PMI chapter. She is currently Vice President of Professional Development, managing several teams responsible for managing the development of the Strategic and Leadership focus of the PMI Talent Triangle. Sherry is married with two children, a 26-year-old daughter who is a registered nurse and a son who is a second grader and loves to cook and play basketball.
