Neeta Sane

Houston Community College

As a business entrepreneur, wife, and mother, Neeta Sane takes the task of making impactful, significant contributions to society very seriously. That coupled with her commitment to public service has made her a strong advocate for diversity and workforce education.

In 2007, Neeta was elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of Houston Community College (HCC) and in 2013 was elected for her second six-year term. In 2014, she was elected to serve as HCC Board Chair.

Neeta grew up in India with tremendous respect for America. To give back some of the blessings and opportunities that this country gave, she immersed herself in community service and served in various organizations. Neeta holds an MS in Chemistry and an MBA in Finance.

Neeta has received congressional recognition and she was honored by the State of Texas Senate as well as State of Texas House of Representatives for her leadership and service to the community and Houston Community College. She has hosted regional workforce summits, Youth Leadership Summit and has launched scholarship programs to inspire students to excel in education. She has also been leading initiatives to help foster diversity and inclusion for people from all walks of life. She has served in several organizations ranging from American Association of University Women to to YMCA and has received recognitions for her caring and effective service to the community.

With service dedicated to public good, Neeta continues to work for causes to enhance workforce diversity and skilled citizenry.
