2010 MULTI-CULTURAL SUMMIT WELCOME

Dear Summit Participants,

I would like to welcome you to the 2010 Texas Multicultural Summit.  This marks our third year to bring this type of format to the Texas Diversity Conference and we hope this year’s theme, The Power of Standing Together, will inspire and challenge you.

In past years, we developed individual summits that focused on specific cultural segments. This year, we are combining our resources to develop one multicultural summit, which will allow you to pick and choose the sessions you are most interested in attending. Or, you continue to have the option to select a specific cultural track and attend all of its related sessions.

As with the main conference, the Summit will give you the opportunity to learn leading diversity practices and to develop your own diversity knowledge related to the rich cultures of Texas. We look forward to your participation in our rich variety of workshops, created with your personal and professional development in mind.

On behalf of the Multicultural Planning Committee, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation the Texas Diversity Conference Board and the 2010 Host Committee for their tremendous efforts in organizing this event.  We are confident that you will find this year’s Summit rewarding.
