Founder's Welcome

Greetings colleagues,
I would like to personally invite you to attend the 6th Annual Texas Diversity & Leadership Conference in Dallas, to be held April 7-9, 2010. The theme for this year’s conference is “Passion for Diversity.” For me, the passion for diversity is real and it fuels my work every day. My personal mission is to see that our workplace is a level playing field in which all individuals, especially individuals that are considered to be diverse, have equal opportunities to contribute and to reach their full potential.
This year’s conference will feature sessions highlighting a myriad of topics, including mentoring, taking “smart risks,” generational diversity, professional development and personal branding. The first day of the conference will include several half-day workshops, as well as the Second Annual Multicultural Summit. The Multicultural Summit is a dialogue on issues of gender, race, ethnicity and sexual orientation. The second and third days of the conference will feature excellent keynote speakers, including Dr. Cornel West and Donna Brazil.
Diversity is a business imperative; it is all about change. It is essential that corporate leaders take a fresh look at how their organizations attract, recruit, retain, develop and promote talent. The Texas Diversity & Leadership Conference aims to serve as a conduit for promoting this change.
Join us as we promote the “Passion for Diversity.”
Sincerely,
Dennis Kennedy
