Dear Conference Participants,

We are delighted and honored to welcome you to the 2011 Texas Diversity and Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.  As we celebrate the 7th anniversary of this Conference, you will be given the opportunity to develop stronger diversity practices within your organization and to personally develop your own diversity knowledge and network.  An employer’s most important asset is their workforce, and the Conference’s attendees can learn how other companies are achieving success by promoting a culture of inclusion amongst their diverse population.

We encourage you to participate in the variety of workshops, seminars, and panel discussions that have been crafted to help you sharpen your diversity management skills. Given our changing world, it’s no longer sufficient to define diversity by the traditionally recognized parameters of race, religion, gender, age, and ability.  You will see a broader understanding of diversity reflected here – one that recognizes non-traditional aspects such as work styles, preferred languages, education levels, personal preferences, and more.  Embracing our varied perspectives enables each and every one of us to create a better cultural environment throughout our businesses and communities.

On behalf of the Texas Diversity Council Board, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the vision and hard work of Dennis Kennedy and to the 2011 host committee for their tremendous efforts in organizing this event.  We are confident that this year’s Conference will be the best one yet.

Enjoy the conference and thank you for joining us.
