2010 Asian American Summit Welcome

Welcome to the Asian American Track of the Texas Multicultural Summit!

The Asian American population is growing at three percent in the United States each year.  According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Asians constitute five percent of the nation’s total population, and Texas is home to over nine hundred thousand Asian Americans representing nearly four percent of the state population.

The Asian American Summit/Workshops will provide a forum to discuss challenges and opportunities facing the Asian American community in Texas. Our focus is on sharing the sights and sounds of the Asian culture, share ideas about the importance of branding, and focus on the challenges, policies, and successes around workforce inclusion.

The work of the Texas Diversity Council and its mission provide a foundation for encouraging achievement, developing resources for advancement within the business community, and a forum for open discussion about the most significant issues facing our community. We invite you to join us at this year’s Asian American Summit and look forward to your participation in this great opportunity for us to share ideas and engage in a meaningful dialogue which will strengthen our foundation for future development.
