The Inaugural Texas African American Summit is an opportunity to bring together the African American Community from across the state in order to have dialogue on important issues. In addition, it is an opportunity for the African American Community to start organizing at a statewide level. One of the current big misses for the African American Community is a statewide voice. Who is speaking for the African American Community in Texas and what is our statewide agenda? Our hope is that this event will help create a CollectiveVoice™ for the African American Community and give African Americans an opportunity to discuss and set a statewide agenda.
Some of the topics that will be covered during the summit include:
*Increased Opportunities: Under representation of African Americans in professional, executive and board positions in the corporate environment
*Black Men
*Black on Black Crime
*Entrepreneurship Opportunities
*A call for NEW LEADERSHIP
*Enhanced Educational Opportunities
*Organize, Organize, Organize
*Statewide Agenda for Change
This one day event will unite, encourage and challenge the African American Community. Most importantly, it will be a catalyst for organizing the African American community at a state level.
Please come out and join us as we seek to organize our community.
